We finally made it back to the school after a long cold winter with lots of snow and just as many viruses! Yay for warmer weather, we were happy to be back to see how the school was coming along. We found windows, walls and we were able to identify all the new rooms.

Arctic Outpost

It's been a while since we've been to the school due to the snow. The roofline has gone up since we last visited as well as some walls. The playground is covered in more than a foot of snow - Will discovered some squirrel tracks and we couldn't believe he wasn't hibernating during this cold winter!

Walls

We had gone past the school a couple of times this week and saw something new was happening. The snow made it difficult to get in through or back entrance, so on the way home from school Will and I poked in through the front entrance to see what was going on.

It looks like the front entrance now has some metal framing and some plywood covering on it, definitely a new sight for us. Today Will was a little concerned that the school would not be finished in time for Rory. I assured him that everything was going on track for the completion. "But she is going to be three soon and she goes to school when she's three." I explained that she doesn't actually turn three for six more months and even then they still have the whole summer before any kids will be going to the school. I think he believed me...

Blizzard 2010

Some might think that a blizzard would make this construction site quiet - but they'd be wrong! Not only did we keep the playground busy, a few days later we saw the workers again, as well as discovering bunny prints. Looks like a little snow isn't stopping any of us!
